REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION

1. Entry forms are available at :

   Kota Kinabalu	:	Reception counter at Sabah Tourism Board, Jalan Gaya
   Sandakan	:	Sandakan Foto outlets (Sandakan town and Mile 4, Bandar KimFung) or Rainforest Discovery Centre(RDC), Sepilok.

2. Closing date for submission of entries will be at 3.00pm on the 15th October 2011 (Saturday). A fee of RM30.00 per entry applies and must be paid upon submission of your entry at the Contest Registration Booth in Rainforest Discovery Centre Sepilok, Sandakan Sabah.
3. Entries may also be submitted via mail or email to the organizers and must be accompanied with proof of payment made payable to the following bank account:

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

1. This contest is open to all Malaysian and International Participants.
2. Photographs must be a Wild Bird of Borneo.
3. Photographs of bird nesting or in the nests will be disqualified.
4. Bird Photos must be taken between January to October 2011.
5. The photographs, in its entirely, must be a single work of original material taken by the contest entrant.
6. Each participant may submit a maximum of 2 entries and must be captioned.
7. Photos must be taken in digital format with minimum of 6 megapixel camera.
8. Submit a Digital Copy only in Low-Resolution at least 500KB.
9. All entries must be original, must show original RAW or JPG image file with the date and time of capture.
10. Optimization of images or colour correction, colour contrast, brightness is acceptable, as is cropping. The entries are non-returnable. Participants retain the copyright of the photographs submitted. However, the WINNING entries may be used or reproduced by the organizers for promotional purposes of future Borneo Bird Festival and Photo Credit will be acknowledged.
11. The organizers will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to an entry.
12. JUDGING Contest consists of one (1) round of evaluation. A panel of Wildlife Photographers and Bird experts will evaluate all eligible entries based on the following Judging Criteria:
1. Interesting Behaviour
2. Photographic quality (Sharpness, colours, exposure, etc)
13. Decisions of the Judges are final and binding. Winners will be notified via phone and email.

CATEGORY 1 - BIRDS OF BORNEO PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

CATEGORY 2 - BIRDS OF BORNEO DIGISCOPING PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

WINNING PHOTOS will be printed in A4 photo print and exhibited by the organiser, followed by prize giving ceremony to be held at RDC, Sepilok on 16th October 2011 at 4.00pm.
